IN LOVING MEMORY

RB Rosy (aka LoisK)

1996 - 2015

LoisK went to be with her angels August 2015 after colic surgery. I am deeply saddened but so grateful I had such an awesome mare that I raised and trained and was so successful.

She was a hard mare to ride as she was so "settee". One judge asked me why I was looking at the pattern. "To check it out". He told me I could run her from the pasture and she would still turn 1st! So true. She was honest and always made the same runs.

I did decide at her ripe age of 19 to breed her to Stoli My Heart. We have a filly, barn name Sangria, for which I am so grateful. She is a pistol and missing her mama but is next to some older horses, eating well and learning to lead at 3 months of age.

I had so many accomplishments with LoisK that it is hard to list them with over $250K of winnings, not including saddles, and other treasures. The ones I think of most are Cheyenne, 4 times finals qualifier, with over $30K won; She loved Houston and when I qualified I always made money. Tucson was a favorite, where we made the short go several times over the years. She qualified me for Circuit Finals several times and she "swept" circuit finals in 2005. She gave me the opportunity to go to the Northwest, St Paul and other OR rodeos in the summer. We traveled from Omak WA to Houston TX and all points in between. She ran on standard patterns and "itty bitty" (think Salt Lake City Coliseum) patterns. LoisK gave me great confidence and I will miss her deeply.
